The London Symphony Orchestra? The force is STRONG with this one. It is known as “The Star Wars Orchestra”. They are a favorite to work with for many of the most successful film composers in the world. They recently played on the music in the trailer for the new Star Wars, as well as on Alexandre Desplat’s Oscar nominated score for The Imitation Game. Leslie Combemale, aka Cinema Siren, went to London to speak with Sue Mallett, Director of Planning, and Matthew Gibson, a longtime member of the orchestra, about their experience with the LSO and film music.
